Overtures is a magazine published for the school of music and dance to archive the department’s accomplishments

Prior to 2016, the magazine was yearly published, and have been on hiatus until 2019 when i had the honor of designing for the 2019 edition that covers 3 years worth of achievements.

 

Client Request

Create an artistic and unique approach to the magazine.

Create a design that will inspire their donors to support the department.

Create a magazine where images/photographs are the main focus.

The back of the Overtures has a stamp box with the University’s information so it can be sent out to prospective students. Overtures is also passed out during recruitment events, and can be found in the offices of the School of Music and Dance in San José State University.
